Amanda is an Occupational Therapist and Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (DRS). Since graduating with her Master’s Degree from Tufts University in 2017, she has worked throughout the continuum of care with people of all ages, from the acute hospital setting through to outpatient rehabilitation, with the past 5 years of her career being spent working at Newton Wellesley Ambulatory Care Center in the well-respected Drive Safe Program. Amanda has advanced training and experience in the areas of neurological rehabilitation and functional vision, and is passionate about applying her expertise in these areas to promote safe driving.

She understands that for many people driving equates to independence, and feels fortunate to be in the position to enable others to maintain or achieve that level of independence despite an underlying condition. On the other hand, when driving is no longer a safe option she is sensitive to the impact that will have on not only the individual, but their loved ones as well, and is committed to assuring that they are still able to access their community and get where they want and need to go.
